S.B.S Ecuador 2016
Single Barrel Selection Ecuador 2016 is a single cask rum which is based on molasses and was distilled in a Column still in 2016. The rum has matured in ex-Bourbon & Virgin Oak casks and is bottled at 57% abv. in August 2024. Ecuador is not a country we see much of in the rum world, however it is slowly changing, just a year ago our own SBS Origin Ecuador Malacatos won the award for best Daiquiri rum, a competition organised by Rum Explorer and with judges from all of Europe. S.B.S Ecuador 2016 is limited to 298 bottles only.

The second batch of our annual S.B.S release 2024 contains gems from Jamaica, Barbados, Antigua, Panama and a blend of Jamaica and St. Lucia. Since our bottlings are getting more and more popular we decided to add bottlings which will only be available in specific countries. Otherwise the S.B.S range stays the same – pure single cask rum without additives or chill-filtration.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Bright and fresh, with zesty citrus, toasted nuts, and the earthy aroma of leather, all wrapped in the scent of freshly cut oak.
Palate: Dry and spicy with a smooth nutty character, leaving a lingering trail of sweet caramel and rich vanilla.
