PX Maturation

Single Barrel Selection Jamaica 2020 from Jamaica is based on molasses and was distilled on a pot still in 2020. The marque of this rum is NYE-WK which is the highest ester level produced at this undisclosed distillery. The rum has matured in a PX cask and is bottled at cask strength at 58,3% abv, with an outcome of 182 bottles only.

Tasting Notes

Nose: The alcoholic scent is evaporating quickly giving space for fruity and spicy aromas and an oaky touch from the cask.
Palate: Typical sweet and juicy notes of ripe tropical fruits, cinnamon and woodiness. Surprisingly mild for its young age and high abv.
